Barack Obama's hilarious stand-up comedy

Maria Gavrilovic at CBS News published a story this week about Barack Obama's use of stand-up comedy to mock and ridicule the McCain-Palin ticket. Gavrilovic herself must be a long time comedy enthusiast because the examples she provided of Obama's hilarious material is the stuff of legend. One example given is below:

"I mean think about it, you guys remember this, it was just like a month ago they were all saying ‘experience, experience, experience.' Then they chose Palin and started talking about ‘change, change, change’ - What happened?”

Timeless comedy. Personally, I've always loved the one that goes, "There is not a liberal America and a conservative America - there is the United States of America. There is not a black America and a white America and latino America and asian America - there's the United States of America." Oh man, I can't finish that one without LOL'ing.

It would seem that after watching a recent speech by the democratic nominee, this journalist found certain observations to be funny. Clearly, Obama is not merely using strategic political tactics but rather he has officially employed the craft of stand-up comedy during his speaking events. Ms. Gavrilovic, please leave the stand-up news to the professional wannabes of comedy journalism like myself. That is, if you are even reading this. Hey, if you are reading this, stop me if you've heard this one:

"Barack Obama, and old war hero, and a conservative hockey mom along with her underage pregnant daughter walk into a talent agent's office. . ."

Do you like Obama or not? I'm unclear on your stance, except that I guess you think Obama's words are humorous. But I don't know if you're laughing with him or at him...
