How to use positive reinforcement as child discipline

I think an important key to disciplining your children to use positive reinforcement. This is why I will occassionally schedule a special event two weeks out - like going to Chuck E. Cheese's.

Then throughout the week if the kids will not behave I can say "Hey, do you still want to go to Chuck E. Cheese's next weekend? Then I guess you better go clean up the living room."
