Thisislondon.co.uk is reporting that Paris Hilton was seen in Los Angeles carrying a bible along with a copy of Eckhart Tolle's, "The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment
." Many are speculating whether Hilton is sincerely looking for a life change or simply trying to impress a judge to get less (or no) time in jail.I say good for her. Hilton is not a stupid girl. She's more than aware that she will be photographed wherever she turns up and she knows how the media likes to portray her. I don't know with any more certainty than the next guy, but I think she is looking for something in her life that she feels she doesn't have. Maybe holding those books out in public was a way for Hilton to tell the world that she wants to be different without really speaking out.
My hope for her is that she would take the opportunity (meaning her upcoming free time in jail) to read those books and get a taste of what a deeper more fulfilling life could be.
